  • Enters customer order information in an accurate manner

Requirements and responsibilities

 

  • 3+ years of experience as a tank inspector required (HM 183 VIKTPUCEPA27)
  • The HM 183 inspectors  primarily responsible is to perform HM183 inspections of tank trailers and tank trucks.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all required HM183 paperwork
  • All completed inspections must comply with all state and government regulations.
  • Apply accurate decals to trailer that comply with HM183 regulations.
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent combination of education and experience as a trailer mechanic..
  • Must possess your own general set of tools and be able to operate all shop tools and test equipment.
  • Should have extensive knowledge of heavy trailer repairs in a commercial environment to ensure equipment is operating to its highest state of efficiency.
  • Must possess the ability to keep up with changing technology and updates.
  • Possess mechanical ability and interest of Fleet maintenance, electronics, computer systems, and liquid bulk transferring equipment.
  • Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment.
  • Physical activities include walking, lifting up to 100lbs, twisting, turning, standing for a long period of time, climbing a ladder, etc.
  • A valid CDL and acceptable MVR are required if driving heavy equipment on public roads. If a CDL holder must be registered with the FMCSA and possess a valid medical card.
  • Should be extremely motivated, clean and organized.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing to work in any weather condition, overtime and flexible work schedule can present itself at times.
  • Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations/procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must pass a pre-employment strength test, drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check. 18 + Years of age.

Under the direction of the driver manager, this position is responsible for: using a dispatch optimization system to create a safe and efficient daily dispatch of fuel deliveries for all Al Warren Oil Company operations; utilizing excellent customer service skills to maintain a positive interface between the Al Warren Oil Co. dispatch offices, its fuel ordering customers, market representatives, and company personnel.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Monitor customer automated inventory management systems; receive fuel orders from retail, commercial and contract customers; maintain a delivery schedule for “keep-full” customers
  • Use the dispatch optimization system and software to create the daily dispatch fuel deliveries
  • Analyze daily product delivery requirements for fuel operations; prepare and assign driver work schedules, while maximizing equipment utilization; route deliveries to minimize delays caused by customer requirements and issues, traffic congestion and/or access restrictions.
  • Provide an excellent service experience for customers; investigate and take necessary action to quickly resolve customer service issues and inventory discrepancy complaints.
  • Immediately report and document all accidents, injuries, spills, mixes, security issues, unsafe conditions or other incidents to the Safety Department and Operation Managers. Participate in the investigation process to identify the root cause of any incident/accident.
  • Maintain daily accurate fleet maintenance records for terminals truck fleet. Review maintenance items identified on drivers pre and post truck inspection reports and schedule truck repairs with truck mechanics and vendors; follow up on truck repair and maintenance issues.
  • Create and maintain a safety culture; ensure all transportation operations comply with all facility, company, State and federal rules and DOT regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents for supporting departments and functions.
  • Occasional perform other assigned duties.

General Laborer

Al Warren Oil is hiring a General Laborer to help with on-site work. We offer a local position the offers great pay and benefits.

Assists field employees with duties and responsibilities associated with daily job assignments. Including, but not limited to: Fuel Tank maintenance, cleaning, surface preparation, and painting. General yard and housekeeping tasks.

Specifications:  This full-Time position is 40 hours per week typically between the hours of 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Monday-Friday.  Some positions will be scheduled to work weekend hours.  This position will report directly to the assigned crew leader, manager, supervisor with the support of staff within the Department.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF WORK:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
    • Ability and experience to operate hand and power tools and equipment safely.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, other employees, and the public.
    • Excellent oral communication and ability to be a fast learner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF WORK:

Must have the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions such as extreme cold, high winds, rain, snow, sleet, high temperatures, and humidity; to stand for long periods of time, bend, and work outdoors with limited lighting; to work with chemicals, vehicles or equipment fumes and gasses, dust and dirt.

SUPERVISION:

Work is performed under the general supervision of a supervising crew leader.  Work is checked by a supervisor on a daily basis, or at the completion of the assigned project.
